We\u2019ve been taking quality art education to Akanksha children who come from low-income communities through:<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<br \/>\n<!-- \n[vc_row bg_color=\"#ffc20e\" padding=\"10\" row_type=\"row\" type=\"in_container\" text_align=\"left\"][vc_column width=\"1\/3\"][vc_column_text]\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[featured_icon featured_icon=\"icon_pens\" icon_size=\"40\" align=\"pull-center\" featured_title=\"Classrooms\" icon_color=\"#ffffff\"]<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Our 3-11 year olds learn a visual language through which they discover, create and tell their stories. They have at least two hours of art every week, where they are introduced to drawing, painting, printing, sculpture, textiles and collage work. Field trips, artist workshops, projects and portfolios, all give them a chance to explore what art can really do for them.<\/p>\n\n\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=\"1\/3\"][vc_column_text]\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[featured_icon featured_icon=\"icon_clipboard\" icon_size=\"40\" align=\"pull-center\" featured_title=\"Art labs\" icon_color=\"#ffffff\"]<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Our 12-14 year olds participate in an art lab, connected to their school, for three years. In these labs, they explore, discover and design futures that may have art playing very important roles. The rigorous programme also pushes their thinking and problem solving abilities. It includes talks and office visits to see the professional face of art.<\/p>\n\n\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=\"1\/3\"][vc_column_text]\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[featured_icon featured_icon=\"icon_info\" icon_size=\"40\" align=\"pull-center\" featured_title=\"Career guidance\" icon_color=\"#ffffff\"]<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Students (from the art labs) older than 15 get career guidance and financial aid to pursue art. The alumni also complete art-related internships, getting hands-on exposure to the job opportunities that await them.
